One of the women I met while at the Palm Spring Sewing workshop reminded me of the existence of Button Button – a store in Gastown devoted exclusively to buttons. It’s not too far from my office so I popped over there to get some red buttons for the Oliver + S Applepicking Dress that I am making for Miss M.
For $4 I also got this bag of buttons. Lots of stores sell bulk buttons like this, but the selection in this little bag ws so much more tantalizing than usual. There are jade-coloured buttons, and leopard print buttons and giant orange buttons and gold sparkly buttons! She even tied it up in a paper bag with a little ribbon, which made me feel like I’d won a prize at a birthday party or something. I couldn’t stop pulling it out and looking at during the whole bus ride home.
I still haven’t found that doll I made the kids before I left, which is too bad because I want to blog it!
